About Zazzi :
Zazzi is a small girl that has had a lot of problems with fears because of different circumstances. We have had big problems on the agilitycourse because she have been very afraid of people, especially the judge who, in her eyes, chases her at the contact obstacles. Her fears have also been worse in different periods and eventually I managed to put this in the relation of her heatperiods. In worst case she could enter a "fear period" about 2 months before she was in heat and this could last upp to 2 months after the heat. So in worst case there were 5 months where she didn't feel very good, and of course didn't do so well in agility. In october 2005 I chose to neuter her and I haven't regretted it! It cost almost 7000 kronor, but it was definitely worth it. She seems to feel a lot better now than she probably did before the operation. And since the operation she slowly gets more and more confident. She can still be scared of things and react negative against, for example, the agility judge. But it happens more and more rarely. Now she is starting to enjoy her self so much at the agility courses that she beams with pleasure to do agility. Earlier I haven't been able to leave her at the startline to call her to me, because she got so insecure of being left alone at the startline "with all the horrible people and dogs" all around her. But now I'm beginning to be able to do it more and more, and she looks really confident. In 2007 everything really started to take off. She became agility champion in june and in the same month she alreade qualified to 2008 year's Swedish Championships (you've got until april to qualify). She does fast and secure runs time and time again now. This really looks good for the future!

2008 was a good year for us, just as I predicted. But I never could have known it would be that amazing year that it really was for us. We came in 4'th place at the Swedish Championships and besides that, Zazzi and I was chosen to represent Sweden at the AKC Agility Invitationals in Long Beach, California in December of 2008. There she went through, as the best small sheltie, to the Finals, where we were placed 7'th in total.
